TBC Christmas Concert 2011/ TBCクリスマスコンサート

 Tokyo Baptist Church has been helping with the relief effort in Ishinomaki ever since the great earthquake/tsunami on March 11, which damaged much of Northeast Japan. Since the very first team was sent out, we have provided aid workers, Hot Food and Daily Supplies at our established distribution spot in Okaido. Workers have also removed the mud from homes, and made them clean again. Rebuilding of homes was achieved through Team 16.  
We have also prepared Hot Meals at several Refugee Centers. In the Temporary Housing locations, Team 17-24 provided Daily Supplies and Kokoro-no Care (emotional/spiritual support).  Through these actions our TBC members could connect with many of the victims. We even invited some of those from Ishinomaki to come to TBC’s Christmas Concert on Dec. 3rd-5th.

Dec.3rd
 We invited 35 victims who lost their families and or housing due to the Tsunami, to the concert. In particular, people living near TBC @ Ishinomaki, the Okaido Area and those living in Temporary housing in Ishinomaki. At 7:00 a.m., they gathered at TBC @ Ishinomaki, and at Okaido. Everyone boarded the large bus and headed for Shibuya. While on the bus, Yoko Dorsey (the coordinator in Ishinomaki,) provided entertainment and information about the Tokyo area. She also gave quizzes, games and English lessons about the Bible. After an enjoyable time, they arrived Tokyo around 15:00. They rested at a hotel we provided before heading to the concert. At the hotel, they were met by TBC Mission members and shared a meal together at a restaurant near TBC, all the while sharing the gospel. For many, it was their first time to hear the Gospel and Christmas message at the Concert. We received good news from one of them that Ms. T. N. has received Jesus Christ as her Savior and had been baptized during the concert. We believe many were touched by the Lord, and were positively affected by God’s Love and His Mercy.

Dec.4th
 Even they had a long trip from Miyagi to Tokyo for the Christmas Concert, they woke up early and prepared to go to Tokyo Disney Land (They were invited by the TBC Mission team.) For many of them, it was their first time to go to Tokyo Disney Land. Some of them told us, ” Thank you so much. It was wonderful to be invited to such a fun event, after such great disaster,” or, “I feel so thankful. Even though it was awful experiencing such hardship, we would not have been able to meet foreign volunteers, experience Christmas, and go to Disneyland otherwise.”
 One of the guests got lost, shortly after passing through the entrance gate. A TBC mission member later found her around noon. She told her experience of the story,”The Good Shepherd will find the last sheep of a 100 sheep, even he finds 99 at first.” This was the message she’d heard from Pastor Dennis the night before. “God will find each and every lost one and He never forgets us.” She was thinking about God’s Love when the TBC member found her among the great crowds at Tokyo Disneyland.

Dec.5th
 The guest who got lost at Disneyland came to Yoko’s room at the Hotel early in the morning the next day. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, the Lord. Hallelujah!
We had a Fellowship Party with the people from Ishinomaki, and the TBC Members. They enjoyed nice food and Worship Songs with TBC members. The famous baseball player Alex Ramirez attended the fellowship party and the concert with his wife, allowing the guests to take photos with them. He also gave an encouraging message. Mr. Ramirez has generously supported NEJ since last March. 

 At this event we read “A Father’s Love Letter.” After the great disaster, these people have had such a hard time and struggled to recover. We all prayed together with them hand in hand for God’s Protection and His Mercy. After we prayed, we smiled and smiled. I will never forget their big smiles. The lady next to me said she was cheered by our presence. It was so thankful that we could meet them again in Ishinomaki through the December Christmas Mission. They invited many of their friends to our Team26 Christmas Carol.

 2011年3月11日より、ＴＢＣが石巻にて支援をさせて頂き、3月のミッションチーム＃1を送り、配給所で炊き出しや物資の提供をしました。大街道周辺の瓦礫撤去、津波によって海水、泥をかぶった家屋のクリーニング、建設補助を行いました。また、避難所にて炊き出しをし、仮設住宅では、チーム17-24による物資の提供、心のケアプログラムを行って参りましたが、この度12月のＴＢＣのコンサートに石巻から、多くの方々をお呼びする事が出来ました。 

12月3日

ＴＢＣ＠石巻の大街道周辺の方々や、家を津波で流されて仮設に入られている方々が、合わせて35名が渋谷ＴＢＣのクリスマスコンサートに参加して下さいました。 朝7時に大街道にあるＴＢＣ＠石巻に集合し、大型バスに乗り、いざ出発。バスの中では、石巻のコーディネーターをされているドロシーようこさんが、バスの添乗員を務められて、クイズや、ゲーム、聖書に関する英会話レッスンなど楽しい道中を経て、3時頃に東京に到着されました。東京では、震災後、殆ど、出かけられなかった方々も、ホテルで一休みされました。コンサートの前にＴＢＣの近くにあるレストランで、ＴＢＣメンバーと感動の再会、共にJoy Cafeをしながら、楽しくお食事をすることが出来ました。クリスマスコンサートでは、始めて、教会のゴスペルやクリスマスのメッセージを聞かれました。また、嬉しいお知らせは、ＴＢＣ＠石巻にて礼拝にお越し下さっているTさんが、12月3日のコンサートにて、洗礼を受けられた事です。参加された多くの方々が、神様の愛と祝福に大変、心に響く物があったのではないでしょうか。

12月4日

 前日の宮城から東京の旅路の疲れと、クリスマスコンサートの熱狂も冷めない中、皆さん朝早く、準備されて、東京ディズニーランドにご招待することが出来ました。年配の方々は、東京ディズニーランドに初めて来られた方も多く、「震災後こんなに楽しくさせて頂いたのには、本当に感謝です。」とお声を頂きました。また、「震災に会ったのは、悲しく、辛かったけど、今思えば、震災がなければ、こうしてクリスチャンや、海外からのボランティアに会う事も無かったので、それは、本当に感謝してもしきれない」とおっしゃられる方もいらっしゃいました。参加された方の中には、東京ディズニーランドに到着後、　　すぐに迷子になってしまい、前日のメッセージを話された方もいらっしゃいました。　　　デニス牧師が、100匹の迷子の子羊が99匹見つかり、最後の一匹までも探し出すのは良い羊飼いであり、神様は、その最後の一匹までも探し出して下さり、私達の事を愛されておられるお話です。「まさに、東京ディズニーランドで迷子になって、ＴＢＣメンバーが　　見つけてくれたので、神様の事を考えさせられた。」という体験をされた方もいらっしゃいました。

12月5日

 朝早くに、前日の東京ディズニーランドで迷子になられた方がドロシーようこさんのお部屋に来られ、主であるイエスキリストを、彼女の救い主として受け入れました。“ ハレルヤ ”。

ＴＢＣにて、石巻のご招待された方々と、ＴＢＣメンバーと共にFellowship Partyを持つ事ができました。ＴＢＣメンバーのおいしい手料理を囲み、ゴスペルの賛美を沢山聞きました。　また、3日、5日ともＴＢＣメンバーでもあり、この震災にも積極的に支援して下さった、プロ野球選手のラミレスご夫妻がお越し下さり、御招待された石巻の方々と快く記念写真を取って下さり、あたたかい言葉をかけられました。「天のお父様からの手紙」を朗読しました。震災で大変辛かった頃より、お手伝いさせて頂き、皆さん、元気を取り戻されつつ、今後の主の守りと祝福を祈って、参加された方々と全員で大きな輪を作り、主に祈りを捧げました。私の隣で、お祈りされた女性が「私の手から元気をもらった」と言われました。祈りの後の皆さんの笑顔は、本当に忘れられません。

コンサートに参加された方々と12月のクリスマスミッションで、また石巻で、お会いすることが出来た事は、本当に感謝な事です。また、多くのお友達やお知り合いの方々を、チーム２６のクリスマスキャロルにお呼び下さいました。
